This was just ok. I have heard TenNapel say he figures out where he wants his characters to end up, starts them off, and then connects the dots. You can really see that here. There is little character development. Out of nowhere, there is a Man Bug, and it makes no sense. I understand Dr. Ong is on a search, but it makes no sense why. And the love interest makes even less sense. All of a sudden, he sees this gimp hand, one eyed girl, and falls in love, even though he has known her all his life, and never really had feelings for her before. Drop the girl, add more development, and it makes a better story.
