Loved this book! It took on new meaning as I watched Marlee Matlin recently on a popular tv show.
A deaf girl becomes the manager of the high school rock and roll band, "Dumb" after they win a Battle of the Bands in Seattle, WA.

Winner of the Teen Schneider Family Award

"The Schneider Family Book Awards honor an author or illustrator for a book that embodies an artistic expression of the disability experience for child and adolescent audiences. "
