This was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Although a romance novel, it’s one that has a recognizable depth and a trueness that only comes once in a lifetime. The book touches on socio-cultural issues such as mixed-ethnicity, immigration, and the repercussions for political refugees and their families, making it truly grounded and down-to-earth. -Kassandra V.L.
