This was a great book. It's a stand alone by the author who writes about detective Jonathan Stride. I've read all his books about Stride and all were excellent but was disappointed in The Burying Place because of Jonathan's betrayal and Maggie's connivance. The Bone House was a thrilling novel and introduces a new character, Cab Bolton, a Miami detective who chases a murder suspect in Miami back to Wisconsin. I would love to see another novel about him.
Brian Freeman is an excellent story teller.
