Why is this dude a bestselling author? Is that some terrible commentary about modern society? I read this in a waiting room -- I would have been better off with back issues of People magazine.

Shelley I have yet to get through any of his books. I think I've tried two or three but they bug the hell out of me. They're just so bad!

Kelly They're just so bad!

Truer words were never posted.

Melissa Never read, but the movies have seriously pissed me off and just irked me. Not that I've ever sat through an entire adaptation. . .
At a book exchange with the museum book club, I ended up with one of his non-fiction books. It's sitting on my shelf and I just stare at it. I don't want to read it. I want it out of my house. And yet, knowing who this came from, she's totally going to ask me one of these days what I thought about it--and she just loved it. Sigh. What to do?

Kelly He wrote non-fiction? Huh.

Melissa yeah, it's something like "Three Weeks with my Brother" --traveling through Australia, etc.

Koren Bolster if you dont have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all, he is a great author and maybe you dont the the genre but that doesnt mean you have to hate on him, hes new york times best selling author because he desereved it and no one made you read hes book you decided to...all i have to say is that i completly DISAGREE with you because nicholas sparks is awesome...... later haters

Reese I'm glad to find a one star review among all those five stars. I was beginning to wonder if I had missed something important reading this book.

Laura Hutchinson All things Nicholas Sparks make me feel openly hostile. And I'm a minister and a generally up beat person! But I kind of wonder if even HE likes his books.
