This was a good little book.

This book is by the same author who wrote Walk Two Moons, which is one of my favorite books. I saw this last summer on the shelf, but the jacket made it sound dumb, so I didn't get it. This past trip to the bib, none of the books I wanted were there, so I went back to this one and got it!

It is a story about a girl and how she likes to run, and a friendship she has, and her unborn baby sibling, and her grandfather's developing dementia. There's also a touch of existentialism. I thought it was a good book, but some of the topics were, I felt, a little on the heavy side for the intended audience here - specifically, the "meaning of life" section. That freaks me out, and I'm 25. Yikes.

Oh also it was written in free-verse, and, I'm sorry, but that just seems like a lazy way to write a book.

But overall, good! And it only took me an hour to read it!
