This book is like what is happening right now in some areas because it is about the author living in the Bronx and at some points of the time it is dangerous to go outside because he is afraid that there will be gangs and there were. Some many gangs of where the author lives he belives that some of them have a gun in their pocket and ready to fire at him. So he was trying o make a change of that to of all gangs, drugs, and hide out of those gangs be gone, but he gone overbaord with power and at the end of the book he didn't care that one boy was killed because he felt he was the master of everything and now he regrets what he has done, but it all begins by him carrying a gun for protection.
