really liked it
bookshelves: non-fiction, religion, humor

At once laugh-out-loud funny and touching, this memoir works because Jacobs is so honestly devoted to following through with his plan, in his acts but also in his thoughts. The result is surprisingly thought-provoking, giving a sincere insight into the religious mind. This book might be the most honest secular approach to religious literalism I've ever seen - as a secular person myself, this was very much appreciated.
