In this book, Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily aren’t talking to each other, or as Hanna calls them ex-BFF’s. They have their own lives, and they still have their own problems. The only thing in common with all four of them is that A is still talking to them and threatening them and that they want to figure out who A is. Aria and Hanna’s ex-boyfriend, Sean start dating but then Aria also starts seeing her English teacher Mr. Fitz again. But then, like always A messes up their lives. A sends a picture of Aria and Mr. Fitz kissing to Sean, and Sean calls the cops on them. Spencer steals an essay from her older sister, Melissa, and says it’s her own. Her teacher is very impressed with it and submits it for a great award, the Golden Orchid. But just like Aria, A makes Spencer get caught in her lie. For Hanna, she looses her best friend, Mona. Lastly, Emily’s parents finds out she likes girls, and they threaten her to go to this program. If Emily doesn’t do this program, she is going to get sent off to Iowa to live with her crazy aunt and uncle.
Like the other Pretty Little Liars books, this one was suspenseful. Perfect is the third book in this series. I thought that this book was really good, and I was surprised that the author, Sara Shepard chose to have A made a mistake in revealing his or her identity. Every time I continue to read this book, I realize that even though they are only characters in a book, it must be hard being Aria, Spencer, Hanna, or Emily. They always have to worry about what they are doing because they don’t know if A is watching them. It’s also hard for them because they don’t really have anyone to turn to if they need help. Right now, they don’t have a good relationship with their parents, and they aren’t being friends to one another right now. So they are all alone.
