I really wanted to like it more, but even though the writing was engaging enough for such a heady topic, the sweeping hypothesis that too much choice is paramount to a nation and/or future generations of depressed people was a little much to accept.

The argument was there, albeit flimsy and I wondered if the concept wouldn't have benefited if the question wasn't so much, "Is Too Much Choice Bad?" but instead had chosen one or a few consequences of too much choice and what broader impact to a generation or society it had.

This book probably would have been so much stronger as a great feature magazine piece, not sure why it needed to be this long.
