really liked it
bookshelves: paranormal, vampires, part-of-a-series
Read from May 01 to 02, 2011 — I own a copy

Hard as nails FBI agent Jackie Rutlidge has just found a young boy bled dry led on a tree in a park, her partner Laurel Carpnter can sense something is off about this murder, then she senses something else out in the crowd. Join Jackie and Laurel as they try and find the answers to this fast paced, paranormal case.

I wasn't expecting to like this book, I had read some really awful reviews, but I found Jackie strangely liekable, the characters are well rounded and believable. Can't wait for the next installment due out in November.

Jim Duncan Glad you enjoyed my story, Kate. I'll admit, Jackie is a tough cookie to like initially. She's a bit messed up, and obviously doesn't get things resolved by the end of book one. She has some work to do, lol. And book two, The Vengeful Dead will actually be out the first of October, so not as long to wait as you thought. :) I hope you enjoy that one too.

Kate Knight Jim - I can't wait for the Vengeful Dead! I really enjoy your style of writing :)
