did not like it

This version...well what I can is that the Arabian nights way or narration is very simple. Maybe it is the editor's fault, but I disliked the way it told the story. Its as if it was an old wive's tale being rambled and rambled and just taking twists and turns at every single event - that sometimes its hard to believe. Of course this story is fictional but you do need a certain degree of stop-believe to have to really 'enjoy' this book.

And do note however that this is actually a Selection. I skipped one story, the one about Aladdin, because that story by itself was a 100 pages long and I did not want to waste my time reading it.

Seriously, it felt like reading a rambling. I thought of selling the book or something, someone who would be more interested in it. For I am, very much into classical works, but this was just plain boring, sorry to say.

I feel bad that the work of Dante- Divine Comedy- could actually trump this tale.
