3.5 stars!

This is silly, sweet, and I adore the illustrations! Literally from the inside cover to the very last illustration - the expressions are a hoot!

True, there's not loads to the story, but the ending is really pretty funny and pretty unpredictable!

This is the "long, crazy story" about how Gerald the elephant broke his trunk.

This appears to be a series, so perhaps those who are already familiar with Gerald and Piggie (yes, a pig), will get even more out of this book.

The words are fairly simple, and young readers will most likely delight in the repetitiveness of the words/story.

I do think I'll be on the lookout for other "Elephant and Piggie" books by the hilarious Mo Willems!
