I really did like this book. It is a great romance, and I loved the quick banter between Catherine and Crispin. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because this is one of those books where the hero and heroine are in love with each other, but they are both too stubborn or afraid to admit it. Both characters spend a lot of time wondering what they should do and if the other person really loves them, or thinks they are a burden, or maybe they are in the way, or an inconvenience, etc. Crispin in particular has a lot of moments where he wonders how Catherine feels about the whole situation. I just wanted to scream, "Just ask her already!" Still, it is very well written and quite entertaining. I just wish they had confessed their love for one another earlier in the book.
