really liked it
bookshelves: history, non-fiction
Read in May, 2011

A serial killer, Florence, and a witch hunt made this a book I couldn't put down. My only reservations is that for a journalistic, non-fiction work there were very few footnotes or citations to material. Since most of the account was first or second hand this wasn't as necessary, but I have an old-school mentality where I like hard facts to be supported through references.
