Read from April 30 to May 19, 2011 — I own a copy , read count: 1

I could compare this book to some belonging to the realism current in Italy (for example „Mastro Don Gesualdo“ of Giovanni Verga), since Noah Gordon is representing a man, Josep, who was able, despite different and big difficulties met, to build a successful life, using his own efforts and work.
I have to say that unfortunately sometimes the storytelling lacks of interesting aspects, which could catch more attention, or let’s say that some unexpected events could add more suspense.
I really enjoyed the choice of the location and as well the love shown towards the wine process. It seems that Mr Gordon really loves the wine and his process and he was able to transmit this love to the protagonist of the roman.
