** spoiler alert ** Douglas is blind but knows he has witnessed a murder. The police believe is was only a random drive-by shooting. Douglas begins to investigate. More murders and bombings occur. Douglas sees the connection but the police discount him because of his blindness. This started as a good tight mystery set in the near future. I liked how Douglas blindness and his coping in the world are explained and explored. I also liked how the murders are set up. I disliked part of the ending because I don't feel the murderer would have become sloppy. The murderer was very organized and cold and to change this character made me feel short changed. I would have liked a longer story where the ending would have been more realistic and believable.
