I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters were real, warm, and each had a distinct personality. This is a story that made me smile, filled me with joy, and made me laugh. There was not much conflict in this story (ie, no one dies, no real evil), but much more like a good bowl of ice are sad that it's gone. This is a book or magic, a bit of joy and love. The only flaw in the wonderful confection of sweetness, or criticism if you will, is with the handling of the "chats" and that I felt could have handled better and with more artistry, and which then I would have given more than 5 stars. Those who are into "real life" type dramas or murder mysteries, then maybe this isn't the best book for you, however if you love a good story full of love, a lot of sugar, a lot of magic and a happy ending, you will enjoy it as much as I did. I cannot wait for Ms. Geary's next book.
