Elmore Leonard's 10 Rules of Writing
by Elmore Leonard
by Elmore Leonard
If I'm not careful, my review will be longer than this book.
There's no doubt that Elmore Leonard knows his stuff, and that his writing is very spare. And perhaps this book was meant to have a strong element of humor to it, but does he have to make it sound so damn easy?! The entire text of his precious little tome could be written on one or two pages. That's good, except was very difficult to justify the toll it took from the environment and my wallet. I bought it years after I first saw it, happy to have his advice in my hands after all.
This would make a great gift for aspiring authors.
