The only reason that this lost a star was that I found the first hundred or so pages very slow and difficult to get into. As soon as Simon and Sage leave Envy, I was swept away and remembered why I loved Beyond the Night so much. I adore the post-apocalyptic setting, and I'll definitely be reading Abandon the Night soon.
