Interesting selection of medical anecdotes with some wonky commentary. Gawande waxes philosophic on the technological, scientific, and human elements of the health care industry. All well and good, but he totally neglects to address how politics and economics influence health care, and his commentary is as a whole pretty limited. A little more perspective would've done wonders, although what's there is pretty good.
