This book didn't help me figure out how to fix my avocado tree but it did encourage me to venture to Indonesia again to try some more of the plentiful fruits there. It claims mangosteen to be the queen, the most delectable of all tropical fruit, mango the king, the most consumed fruit in the world--more than apples or bananas, and avocado to be the aristocrat. The recipe for persimmon coconut mousse sounds good: mix 1 cup mashed persimmon, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 sour cream, and 3/4 cup grated coconut for 2 servings.

Wendy I agree about mango, but the mangosteen I tried (in Singapore) was not very good at all.
