Read this with my son, and he enjoyed it. My biggest problem is the old-fashioned nature of this book. It hasn't aged as well as some of the Ramona books, and it was filled with gender stereotypes and outdated concepts. Still a fun read, though, and my son enjoyed the part where Ribsy took off with a giant hunk of meat from the neighbors' cookout.
