The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide
Author: Stephenie Meyer
Overall: 3 out of 5
Format: Hardcover

Description: (Goodreads) Fans of the #1 New York Times bestselling Twilight Saga will treasure this definitive official guide!
This must-have hardcover edition--the only official guide--is the definitive encyclopedic reference to the Twilight Saga and provides readers with everything they need to further explore the unforgettable world Stephenie Meyer created in Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. With exclusive new material, character profiles, genealogical charts, maps, extensive cross-references, and much more, this comprehensive handbook is essential for every Twilight Saga fan.
From My Point of View: As excited as I was for this guide, I found I was mostly disappointed in it. I was expecting loads of new background information, but in realty, most of what I read I already knew from reading the books.
I really did like learning about Alice's past. Her section of the book was great! Her story makes a lot more sense now.
There were quite a few things that bugged me about the guide. A big one was the character images. I LOVED these!! But I don't understand why they wouldn't do a picture for every character. It was inconsistent and it bothered me. Another thing that bugged me was the author interview... so boring! I didn't glean any useful information for this section.
All the art in the book was fantastic. I loved the pictures, maps, and artwork. VERY fun to look at.
Overall, I really liked the book, but it's just not the kind of book you sit down and read. It will be great for reference when re-reading the series, but I don't think I'll just pick it up and read some. It is a nice addition to complete my collection though. =)
