I’m currently watching The Borgias TV series, and have become interested in this crazy family.

This book started off really well, and I was sure it was heading for very good 4 stars, but the last third went off the boil for me, and I marked it down to 3.

The book's full of murder, sex, betrayal, incest and corruption. You don't know who to trust, it's exciting, intriguing, scandalising! But then....perhaps the writing got a little repetitive, perhaps Sancha got a little whiney, perhaps the story got a little rushed. I can't pinpoint any one thing that disappointed me, it just kinda happened.

I’m now on the lookout for more Borgia books.
