It Happened One Night by Stephanie Laurens

I didn't finish the last novella, written by Candice Hern, as it bored me, but I enjoyed the other three.

Despite deliberately having the same base plot, all the novellas turned out very differently, and I never once felt that I was reading the same thing again. I actually had to remind myself that they were based upon the same few specific ideas.

The Fall of Rogue Gerrard Stephanie Laurens. 3/5

I enjoyed this, although the heroine, Lydia, was a little TSTL. Her protests and what not were really starting to grate by the end.

Spellbound Mary Balogh. 3/5

I felt really bad for Richard the whole way through this, and Nora could be very self-righteous at times, but once they both had ALL the information, it worked out well.

Only You Jacquie D'Alessandro. 4/5

This was my favourite. It was adorable, and they hero and heroine didn't spend so much time resisting as they had in the other two novellas.

From This Moment On Candice Hern. -

As I said, I didn't finish this. I may go back at some stage and read it, but it's just not drawing me in at the moment, and I won't force myself to keep going.

Overall, this is a great anthology, with a unique twist of having four different writers using the same plot elements and seeing what they come up with. Definitely for historical romance fans. 3.5/5
