A young woman is training to be an FBI Agent. Her father (with whom she has a poor relationship) is a noted and retired Profiler. Both her sister and her Mother were murdered by a man who also attempted to murder her. While she is our running at night, she comes across the body of a young woman who was 'dumped' in Quantico. She and an Agent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, whom she also recently met, begin to investigate the murder because he believes it is the work of a serial killer he has been unsuccessfully tracing for years. The plot follows the established pattern with her father joining in the investigation and her rookie status at the FBI looking grim because she didn't obey orders. It also follows the current stories of some of the living victims of the criminal. It also ends as one would expect, however it is well written and suspenseful enough to keep your interest.
