I have to say that this was one of the best Baldacci books that I have read in a long time. David worked his literary magic and brought his new release to an entirely new level with a story that entwined thrills and a little mystery. He brought the characters to life, and allowed the reader to understand some of the background story of Sean and Michelle and their daring adventures that have come to be one of the greatest Baldacci series.

The story begins with murder and mayhem weaving it ways through fact and fiction and allows the reader to further understand the complexity of the United States intelligence system. It allows the reader to ask the question “what if” and answers with some certainty the flaws that have allowed some of the most devastating crises that have crippled our country.

It is to the character of the writer that this story comes alive and enables the reader to feel connected with the characters and allows the reader to share in the victories and sorrows felt by the characters of this book.

A great read that is recommended for all who wants to escape their real true world and live the adventures of two of the greatest private detectives in the business.
