I find it extremely hard to rate a book about someone's life. I mean, what I am rating here? And it's even harder when the book is about the life of someone you find inspiring.
I am not going to lie to you... I think Tina Fey is brilliant. Not only is she indeed funny, she is also one hell of a fighter. Not everyone is able to achieve what she achieved.
I do not regret buying Bossypants and I do not regret the hours I dedicated to it. For someone interested in the cinema/television business, whether related to comedy or not, I find it very motivational. Besides that, the book is quite amusing and, for me, it opened a window that allowed me into Tina Fey's life (I am not naive to the point of thinking that this is all... but I am glad to learn a bit more about the woman who has been making me laugh for quite a few years now).
All in all, I loved it and I recommend it. Do not expect to encounter the portrait of a perfect life though or a five-steps-to-reach-happiness list.
This is the story of a woman, a human being.
We all have ups and downs. We all have flaws.
We need to learn how to enjoy them and embrace them.
Have fun :)
