I had high hopes for this book. But it wound up disappointing me. It was another one of those "miserable people stuck in miserable lives" kind of book, where no one was able to elevate themselves beyond their miserable state. True, maybe that's just what real life is all about, but it's really depressing to read about people who *know* they are weak, and do nothing about it.
