This is one of my all time favorite books, not because it is so well written (this is the author's only novel, so there are spots that could be cleaned up), but because of the ideas contained within.

If only we could defeat our enemies by offering them a seat at our table, pay everyone equally because they contribute positively to our society (not because they are smarter, or have more education, but because we need them to do the job they do - like childcare and garbage collecting), and embrace everyone's traditions, lifestyles, and experiences (not just tolerate them - but even that would be an improvement).
