I was booked to narrate the later Alex Kava Maggie O'Dell series, and now they're having me record some of the earlier books as well. I loved this one and it really gives so much depth to Maggie O'Dell's character. Kava is an expert at creating an atmosphere thick with emotional weight. There's mystery, yes, but the real story is the lives of the characters and what they go through. I highly recommend this series. Start from the beginning. The novels change and progress as the series goes on.
