Seriously NOT a good book!! I'm sorry, but you disobeyed your mom so your mom is MURDERED?!?!?...and then you start popping pills...and then your dad blames you?? I just thought the whole story was overkill. Way too much drama. Like, I know the point of the book was to obey your parents, but the massive guilt message of "obey your mom or she might be strangled" is way over the top. And what's with the guy who claims he always liked her but never talked to her suddenly deciding NOW to want a relationship?! Pointless.

Andi Newberry ~Tubbs I don't believe she disobeyed! Her mom said she couldn't drive into the city or go in Lola's car, not that they couldn't go period! The mother deserved what she got! She was a crazy overbearing mother who refused to allow her daughter to have a life. The reason Cleo has guilt is because of the overbearing parenting her mother did. Had her mother allowed her to have a "normal" teenage experience none of this would have happened!

Kristy Very true; and growing up in an overbearing household myself, I can understand why she had all of that guilt even though it was not at all her fault. I wouldn't say the mom had it coming because nobody deserves to die like that, but she was ridiculous!! And I couldn't believe the dad blamed Cleo too! Awful book. I wanted to puke.
