Book #8 "Ape House" I rated 5 because I enjoyed reading about the Bounobos (chimps) and how they communicate with sign language. This has a great opening (explosion) but the rest of the book has action only in reaction to that tragic moment ---- so there's less plot in the back end of the book. But the chimps are in it throughout and so is a doctor who is their "master" and a male journalist with a wife who wants to have kids and is searching for a job. One more interesting point is the idea that people would be so interested in watching a reality show on apes every minute of the day. We are really close right now for this happening, so that made it doubly relevant for me to read.
