This is a story of a Korean family that loses their mother. The mother and father are at a train station, and it's crowded, and the father is used to leaving the mother behind...and well...that's how the book starts. The story is told from different family members and each section creates an image of a much-loved, but often-taken-advantage-of mother. I flew through this book, holding my breath hoping and praying for a happy ending. "Please don't let her be dead...please don't let her be dead" I whispered out loud over and over as I frantically read. Her children and husband had so many things left to tell her, to thank her for, to apologize for. You'll have to read it to find out what happens.

The inside cover says this book has sold over a million copies in Korea. I don't doubt that for a second.
