Neal Gaiman co-wrote Good Omens with Terry Pratchett. The book is the story of a colossal battle between the forces of good and evil, gone slightly wrong. The forces of evil ensure the birth of the Antichrist. Unfortunately, there is some confusion at the hospital where he's born, and they lose track of the real Antichrist for a good long while. The parents who end up with the child raise him as a good, modern, patriotic English kid. Whoops.
The book is pretty funny, complete with an angel who isn't quite angelic, a demon who rather likes the world and doesn't want it to be destroyed, a crazy witch-hunter, and, of course, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The conversations between the Antichrist and his pre-teen friends are hilarious. They capture childish conversations almost perfectly.
