Looking at all of the rave reviews this book got, I feel like I must have missed something when I read it. I didn't like it all that much. I mean it was readable, it just wasn't that good.
The story never really went anywhere. (view spoiler) Maybe it's not so much that the plot didn't go anywhere, just that it went in circles.
Since this is more of a middle grade reader, I really wasn't expecting it to be awesome, but I have to say I was hoping it would be much better than it was. The original book in the series, Bad Girls Don't Die, was actually pretty good.
If you're in the market for something in this genre and age group I'd recommend The Graveyard Book, The Stone Child, or A Living Nightmare.

I haven't started it yet. My currently-reading shelf is the stuff that I've checked out from the library...it helps me remember what I've got out. LOL! I liked the 1st one, too. If you like stuff like this, then you should check out The Nightmarys, or The Stone Child (both are by the same author). They are both kind of horror stories for kids like Bad Girls Don't Die.
