Love Kate Morton and this wasn't a disappointment. If you read all her books in a row you can definitely discern a pattern, but it's not a bad pattern. The plot is multi-layered and multi-dimensional. It spans several generations and reveals some secret from the past. This story in particular was very touching and sad. I *may* have teared up at the end. Her writing style is beautiful and really pulls you into the story. What more can you ask from a novel?
