From the outside, it would appear that Lucy Hamilton is just your typical stay-at-home mom living a relatively normal life. She takes her toddler son to the playground and cleans applesauce off the floor. But what others don't know is that she used to be Sally Sin, a spy for the United States Agency for Weapons of Mass Destruction. When her former nemesis, Ian Blackford, returns, Lucy is forced to come out of hiding to protect herself and her family.
This is not a literary masterpiece, but definitely a quick, enjoyable read. I was hooked after the first chapter, and couldn't put it down until the end. The story unravels through flashbacks on Lucy's days in the Agency and her childhood mixed in with glimpses into her new life of marriage and caring for a toddler. With Lucy's wit and sassy attitude, you can't help but like her. There were some hilarious laugh out loud moments of Lucy chasing after the bad guys, as well as hilarious moments with her son that any mom can appreciate.
I really hope the author makes this into a series. I'd love to read more Sally Sin adventures! I'd recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of the Stephanie Plum series.
