Abandon
by Blake Crouch
A thriller which has the two story-lines, one set in present day and the other set in 1893. The town of Abandon has been abandoned and no one knows wherein the entire population disappeared. Currently a group of people are looking into Abandon for their own purposes. Also at the same time in 1893, the plot focuses on the group of people living in town of Abandon.
Very fast paced book which has a bit of a slow start but then picks up speed and with the switching of the timeline also keeps the reader hooked on to the twin mysteries of what really happened in 1893 and what is the current group really after?
I'm recently introduced to Blake Crouch's books and Abandon just proves once again why he's 1 of the best but unknown thriller writer around.
