The last book of the Buru Quartet.

Different from the other 3 books, this book narrates the story of Minke during his active period as a public activist through the eyes of a colonial political mastermind, Meneer Jacques Pangemanann.

The scope of the book is larger than the previous books. It gives an insight into the runnings of a government and the invisible forces behind it, social influences that one thought could only happen on the movie screens.

As the previous 3 books have been, this last book is a must-read for social sciences enthusiasts.
