Even though I found the story idea (a recently divorced woman inheriting a funeral home) interesting, I couldn't engage with the characters. I found the main character, Jennifer, annoying, weak and irritating. Yes, her life was changing and she was facing difficult times but get a hold of yourself and stop putting the kids in front of the TV and Nintendo. Take advice of those around you and be appreciative of their help.

I'm giving it 2 stars only because of a weak main character. The writing was decent and the plot interest average. I just want to read a book where I can either admire or relate with the main character while she grows from her experience.

With all that said I have started the second in the series.
