I really connected with this book at the beginning and then by the end it lost me. I don't know why. There's a lot to admire and respect here, so maybe the timing was off. I might have to revisit it in the future. I do think the jealousy chapter is totally on the nose, though. Quote: "I was raise in a culture that promotes this competitiveness [...] and then, in the next breath, shames you for any feelings of longing or envy or fear..." Those pages alone made me really glad I read this.

Brian Williams I have that book, it was given to me as a gift but I've near read it.
