3.5 for this one. It’s a scary, fun read. I liked the suspense and the way the story unfolded. My only problem is that I liked the villain, Julian, more than I should have--much more than good old Tom. I didn’t really feel the love for Tom in this book--in fact he came across as kind of a jerk. Julian is way more dynamic, interesting, and sexy!! The very end of the book seemed kind of weird and “out of the blue” to me, too. But, I guess it encourages continuation of the series!

*SPOILERS*: I kept hoping throughout this book that there would be a way to redeem Julian--somehow a way to change his evil nature and make it possible/acceptable for him to get the girl! Or, let’s have some (any) reasons to prefer Tom to Julian. I guess I’ll have to read the next book in the series and hope for a better romantic resolution. The stealing of the game at the end of the book seemed too contrived, coincidental, convenient, and eye-roll promoting. Come on!! How did this happen?!
