I liked The Immortal Rules, just not as much as the Iron Fey series. I thought the world building was fantastic, especially the creepiness of the rabid animals. I always wonder why animals aren't affected by plagues. It seems like at least some of them would be. I loved that pretty important characters were killed off. I just wasn't completely sucked in to the story and the characters just didn't make me feel a whole lot for them. I do look forward to seeing where this series goes though. The first Iron Fey book wasn't my favorite either. I hope I come to like Allie as much as I liked Meghan. And why isn't the girl on the cover Asian?
