Not just a memoir of a top-ranked sniper but a memoir of the last war in Iraq and the changes to warfare that troops faced over there. Jack Coughlin discusses how snipers are trained, the modern methods of the military and the new ideas he brought to a traditional position in the military. The most interesting aspect of the book for me was the idea of a mobile sniper outfit and how Coughlin changed the way snipers are used in modern warfare.

The book could have used some editing for more of a focus or a tighter story, but the writing was straightforward and clean, as you would expect.
