A fun and quick read. Jenna was just so adorable and naive but she was smart, and learned how to thrive in the "wilderness". Fiona was a bit flat for me in the beginning, but she did change and grow on me. Nothing too deep or heavy (the environmental message was handled well in my opinion), definitely an enjoyable vacation/change from the vampire/dystopia read.

Two small negatives: on the audio (I started it, but finished with the hardcover version), Livvy is very Valley Girl (which I didn't really get reading it) and I found it annoying. Also, the ending seemed too neat; it did a "she didn't know that x, y, z were going to happen". I would have liked a little more openness to the ending. You already know it's going to be happy because that's the kind of book it is, but knowing the specifics was unnecessary.
