** spoiler alert ** The fifth in the Dexter series continues to deliver and continues to be witty, alliterative, satirical, and darkly humorous. This one further explores the children's darker sides, while Dexter is dealing with work and home pressures - it opens with the birth of his and Rita's daughter and his realizations that he can have feelings after all, if only for this defenseless creature that he helped create. Still, Lindsay never makes it sappy and keeps us in suspense till the very end.
