Jane Morgan is ashamed of her wild teen years, so much so that she transformed herself into a prim and proper woman. She changed everything about her -- her name, her behavior, and she tried to sever her connections with her past. But as much as she tried dating respectable and professional men, she longed for big, tattooed guys. Inappropriate guys. Guys like William Chase.

Jane only wants a one-night stand with Chase. The sex is amazing, but she can't let her image slide. She dumps Chase and then her world spirals out of control when her brother is suspected of murder.

Determined to find the truth, Jane returns to her old haunts and the life she turned her back on. She tries to hide her connection with the case, but Chase can help her. He gradually learns that Jane is anything but the conservative image she projects. The more he gets to know the real Jane, the more he can't stay away.

Lead Me On by Victoria Dahl was a great read. I adored Chase who was a mix of patience and dangerous edge. He understood Jane and offered unconditional acceptance. I also thought that Jane was a very interesting heroine. She was a bad girl desperate to be respected and valued. The journey to take a hard look at herself and stop running from her past was fascinating.
