Markus Zusak's writing = Flawless. Cameron is a teenage boy who has not found that quality that makes him special. In short he is a Loser living in the shadows of his charismatic and talented older brothers. Cameron is more of an observer in the world then a person living in it. Until Octavia. Beautiful Octavia, who is yet another one of his brother Rubes many conquests. Even after she is carelessly discarded can the brother's code allow Cam to find happiness with Octavia and possibly himself? In this short work of fiction I cried, laughed out loud, and thirsted for more. Unique characters that piss you off then fall in love with. Teachers who recommend S.E. Hintons The Outsiders for students should have this book marked as a to-read right next to.
